Key tasks include:
o Manages the strategic and tactical testing relationship with program stakeholders
o In collaboration with the Test Architect, develops the overall testing strategy for the program; sets the direction and tone for quality delivery to ensure all aspects of quality are considered
o Own/drive/coordinate testing and test artifacts across multiple testing phases, including SIT, UAT, End-to-End, performance, etc.
o Partner with the Performance Test Team to ensure appropriate performance testing is occurring for the project (if applicable)
o Manage testing risks and issues, develop contingency plan as appropriate
o Ensures all applicable SDLC and testing processes are followed; provides mentoring as appropriate
o Owns QA aspects of Traceability for the program
o Owns defect management process for the program, ensuring defects are remediated and risks communicated
o Collects testing metrics, reports status to program
o Align with Configuration Management and Release Management
o Consult with Test Architect to ensure test data provisioning, test environment and test automation aligns with the proposed test strategy
o Escalate to Test Architect when needed throughout the testing lifecycle
Key deliverables:
o Project Test Strategy (PTS) (medium and complex projects)
o Test Status Reporting & Metrics (for area of responsibility)
o POR estimate for overall test accountability for the project (A subset of TPMs have this responsibility)
