Competencies:
IT IS_DCS_System Admin_Windows, Win 2K Directory Server, IT IS_DCS System Admin_Vmware, Windows Azure Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS)
Skills:
• 10+ years experience in server computing & virtualization , designing, and troubleshooting of remote and datacenters server environments.
• Competency with Active Directory Federation Services, Forefront Identity Manager, PKI, Windows Azure, Cisco UCS and VMWare. Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer preferable.
• Strong scripting skills, i.e Powershell or VB script,
• On-call based on a rotating 7x24 schedule.
Desirable Skills:
• Subject matter expert with Global Accountability for the architecture, design and implementation of the Server and Virtualization solutions
• Responsible to ensure that all mission critical components within the server computing environment have proper redundant or failover services & are covered by vendor maintenance agreements as applicable
• Superior communications skills - both oral and written - to successfully interact with project teams from various departments/business units.
• Owns and leads discussions in business and technical information technology solution implementations, upgrades, enhancement and conversions. Recommends solutions as appropriate
• Support IT goals and objectives including measures and projects
• Collaborates and assists with the coordination/management of vendors who are contracted for services relating to the computing infrastructure
• Must possess proven experience working with an enterprise distributed computing environment. These experiences should include:
• Technical infrastructure architect/design/support as representing IT Standards/ Policies/Procedures for Windows Server operating systems and a Strong understanding of architecting and configuring Microsoft Windows OS technology including AD Forests, Domains, Trusts, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy and Organizational Units
• Problem solving leadership based on experience with the technology
• Support of a distributed MS Windows-based network
• Strong "principle of least privilege" understanding and ability to leverage technology to achieve such principle
• Strong record of operational success managing Server virtualization services including outstanding uptime and throughput.
