Role: C# Developer (Backend / Server Side)

 

MUST HAVE eTrading Apps experience (stock trading)

 

Location: New York City, NY

• Fixed Income is required equities front office is OK too)
• WPF experience is a Must

Experience/Qualifications

 

The ideal candidate for this role has the following experience:

 

 5+ years of industry experience with C# (.NET Framework 3.5 or higher) using generics, ADO.NET, Windows Forms and/or WPF, and experience of multi-threaded systems.

- Experience with database modelling and schema design (table design, data normalization, implementation of referential integrity and data constraints.)

- Mathematical ability – an appreciation of algebraic, geometric, and statistical concepts and their application in problem solving. (e.g. linear and non-linear functions, linear interpolation, transformations and translations, population distributions and standard deviation calculations).

- Some experience of C++ development. (Strongly preferable but not essential)

- Experience of the full software development life cycle (requirements analysis, design, development, unit testing, build and deployment, and post implementation support.)

- Agile development methodologies, such as Extreme Programming or Scrum.

 

In addition, any experience with the following would be a plus:

- Front-office trading system development (trading/business logic)

- Fixed Income (Cash, Swaps, Futures, Options, etc.)

 

Finally, the following characteristics are absolutely required:

- Proven ability to communicate with less technical users to understand requirements and implement appropriate solutions

- Successful track record of delivering working software quickly and improving it iteratively

- Desire to implement robust, extensible systems that will evolve with the business

- Experience and desire to work as part of a multi-faceted team

- Relentless devotion to software quality, testing and scalability
