Medium skill level and experience:
VMware system administration experience (preferred Version 5.x). OS System Administration Skills (both Red Hat Linux and Windows).
Network Administration Experience (related to firewalls, LAN, DNS, etc.)
Low skill level and experience:
Scripting experience. Backup administrator experience in a SAN environment (preferred application: NetBackup). Experience with Domino administration

SAN BRC Job Description:
The Brocade Resident Consultant (BRC) is an on-site, contiguous day Brocade expert charged with maximizing the investment already made in Brocade hardware solutions and services. The BRC has certifications in Brocade SAN based technologies. In addition, the BRC generally is responsible to perform:
Serves as a Brocade liaison to the End User's business units and outside vendors for issues pertaining to the Brocade SAN infrastructure.
Provides on-going management, design, and planning of the customer's SAN infrastructure.
Develops and manages any related/required infrastructure documentation.
Participates in the End User's change management meetings for projects related to the infrastructure.
Advises on and helps design new build outs and refreshes of the infrastructure.
Develops and conducts testing procedures for new infrastructure projects as required.
Implements the design of the Brocade infrastructure projects.
Conducts assessments of the End User's infrastructure as needed.
Responsible for recommending and implementing Brocade storage fabric Best Practices.
Performs weekly status reporting to the Customer, Sales, and Services.
Performs monthly INTERNAL reviews with Brocade Sales, Support, and Delivery.
Documents the current and recommended software in the customer's environment.
Onsite training and knowledge transfer to customer storage centric staff.
Helps to reduce productivity loss for the Customer's SAN Infrastructure.
Enhances skill sets and experience of customer's SAN Architectural & Design staff.
Provisions Brocade devices and connects those devices to the End User infrastructure.
BRC SAN Profiles
SAN Profile 1: SAN Migration
Candidate Technical Requirements:
Experience with planning and executing a SAN migration in an enterprise SAN
Experience with analysis of zoneset configuration in a legacy Cisco MDS, McData or Brocade SAN
Experience with zoneset conversion from legacy Cisco MDS or McData to Brocade zoning
Experience with conversion of legacy domain/port coded zoning to PWWN zoning
Experience with SAN Migrations involving consolidation of multiple SAN islands
Brocade Certifications: Brocade BCFP, BCFD, BCSD or BCSM
SAN Profile 2: General SAN Assessment, Design and Implementation
Candidate Technical Requirements:
Experience with implementation of current generation Brocade SAN products, especially Brocade DCX
Experience with implementation and customization of monitoring features in Brocade SAN products, including Fabric Watch, and SNMP
Experience with implementation of Brocade SAN management tools, including BNA
Experience with implementation of Brocade SAN extension products in an open systems SAN, if required for BRC opportunity
