Job Title : .Net Developer with WCF/WPF
Location : NYC, NY.

Required:-

5+ years IT Development Experience
3+ Years C# proven and demonstrated experience including MultiThreading.
Sound understanding of Object Orientated Concepts
Experience working on Enterprise-scale solutions
Experience and demonstrated enterprise  knowledge of WCF and \ or WPF

Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with Regulations that apply to a US Broker / Dealer and how they relate to submissions to the SEC and FED (Dodd-Frank experience a huge plus)
Business Intelligence / OLAP
MQ / Tibco EMS messaging
Scheduler (i.e., Autosys)
Source code control tool (i.e. Perforce)
Familiarity with complex system integration and software development life cycles
The individual will have responsibility to:
The main job function of this role is application development using primarily C#, and WCF.
The candidate will be responsible for developing and enhancing Barclays Capital applications. This includes technical assessment of requirements received, solution design, build/test the approved design and implementation into production environment in accordance with SDLC best practices.

Technical Responsibilities Analysis:
Assistance as required in the requirements analysis for system enhancements and changes.
Writing functional specifications if required.

Design:
Interpret and understand functional specifications
Writing technical design documents adhering to predefined standards
Responsible for the design of new functional components
Liaising with the Design authority to ensure all new components fit within the guiding principles

Code:
Hands on development of quality (i.e. readable, performing and supportable) C#, WCF and \ or  WPF  code, delivering the functionality detailed in the technical specifications
Experience with  Autosys scripts, delivering the functionality detailed in the technical specifications
Experience with SQL, stored procedures etc delivering the functionality detailed in the technical specifications.
Ensuring code written meets the predefined company and department standards

Quality Assurance:
Conducting peer reviews and providing constructive feedback
Deliver code which results in a defect run rate of less than 5% of all test cases in UAT

Testing:
Creating and maintaining unit tests with an aim for 90% code coverage
Providing support during  SIT and UAT test phases
Diagnosis and resolution of defects found during SIT and UAT test phases
Support regression testing.

Implementation:
On implementation of UAT and Prod releases, provide training to support team members

Communication
         Communicate directly with business analysts and project managers, understanding detailed business requirements at all stages of the development lifecycle
         Communicate effectively with business users to gain an in-depth understanding of new requirements
         Communicate effectively with the other external IT development teams and the local development manager.
         Work closely with global development team members in Singapore, Pune, London and New York – participating in and contributing to technical discussions. Participate and contribute in technical discussions
         Ability to escalate issues to management as appropriate.
