Start Date: 11/20/2013

End Date: 12/31/2014

Location:San Francisco, CA

Max Hourly Rate: USD $55.00

Responsibilities:
- Acts in a lead technical role providing technical guidance and consultation with developers, clients and IT management for web systems environments.
- Performs Integration, Build and Release activities for Java/J2EE based web applications using automaion build scripting and deployment tools starting from Integration-QA-Staging-Production environment
- Creates and maintains automation build scripts
- Configure environment for applications (on appserver/webserver) to be tested out and perform code deploy and merge
- Performs Platform engineering activities such as webserver/appserver upgrades, load balancer configuration, web application security audits, performance engineering etc..
- Performs troubleshoting for production environment issues. 
- Develops new documentation and departmental technical procedures.  
- Assures quality, security and compliance requirements are met for supported area and oversees creation of or updates to and testing of the business continuation plan.

Ideal candidate should posses :
- Java/J2EE programing background 7 yrs
- Java/J2EE web application Integration, build and release experience using automation scripts written in ANT/Maven etc..
- Java/J2EE web application code deployment experience using tools like Sun N1, AnthilPro, Hudson etc..
- Experience in configuring/provisioning/troubleshooting Weblogic/Tomcat servers for application hosting/configurations/deployment
- Experience working in Sun solaris, Red Hat Linux, HP-Unix platforms
- Experience in OS scripting
- Experience working in production environment
- Passion for working in Platform engineering team
- Knowledge of Load balancing tools such as F5, source code control tools like Clearcase, SVN, messaging tools like JMS, MQ is a plus
