Role: Android Developer

Location: Des Moines, IA

Duration: 6 Months (possibly longer)

Interview Method: Skype if not local

Skill Set: Android Development using Java – Full Stack

No H1B

 

 

Developing a system on a tablet to run the field services department. Been working on it for a couple of years.  Probably still have at least a year of work left.  They have a few changes they already know need to be made after the initial release.

 

Absolute Requirements: Android/Java and SQLite

• Android Development using Java

• SQLite- a good way to store data for android development. Most seasoned Android developers will have experience with this. Example the field technicians will need to be able to store pictures and notes to customer profiles

 

Additional Information:

• Keen sense of screen design

• Strong in data synchronization – have a lot of data to synchronize.  May end up developing own sync system.

• Bonus would be python experience.  Currently used in a tool that helps maintain the databases

• Android Studio or Eclipse

• Other helpful technologies – Docker Containers, Django, Symmetric DS (backend tool for syncing)

• They use MySQL (not at all a requirement, just helpful info)

• Ability to convert to FT is also a plus
