Technical Recruiters Urgent Need:::::::::::::Unix Infrastructure Engineer , RI / AZ, 6-12+ Months

Job Title: Unix Infrastructure Engineer

 Location: RI / AZ

Contract: 6-12+ Months

 

Requirement

The UNIX/LINIX infrastructure Engineer is responsible for the development of technical specifications through analysis of functional and business requirements, coordinating the high and low level design effort on projects, providing guidance and mentoring on technical issues, helping to define and document development standards and providing engineering oversight on projects to ensure that systems conform to all architectural standards.  The infrastructure architect:

·         Excellent verbal communication skills

·         Strong interpersonal skills

·         Ability to meet time sensitive deadlines required

·         Ability to make sound decisions and exercise good judgment pertaining to operating procedures and projects

·         Is a technical expert contributor in infrastructure, systems engineering and operations.

·         Acts independently with little direction supporting the system engineering, hosting and system services, networking, application development, and PMO teams.

·         Performs the necessary coordination, facilitation, analysis and design tasks related to the development of an enterprise technical architecture.

·         The technical architect will assume the primary responsibility and ownership for all enterprise technology architectures. This includes creating optimum technical solutions, meeting / exceeding requirements, ensuring system security, quality, robust performance, and flexibility for future change.

 

Qualifications:

·         8+ years experience and working knowledge of enterprise-wide Linux/Unix (RHEL. AIX and Solaris) infrastructure architecture and engineering.

·         5+ years experience in VMware.

·         8+ years Server/OS Architecture and Engineering level knowledge in large heterogeneous environments; hands-on experience.

·         8+ years sharp analytical abilities and proven design skills

·         8+ years experience in multiple operating systems, network protocols and hardware virtualization technologies, including initial system design, deployment, and maintenance

·         8+ years of broad technical knowledge of current emerging technologies, including but not limited to virtual technologies, cloud storage, enterprise file sharing, data encryption, and data migration techniques.

·         8+ years of strong communication skills, including written and verbal presentations

·         8+ years of experience in IBM AIX PowerHA, GPFS, Power Systems Architecture and Engineering.

 

Education:

·         BS Degree in computer science or related technical discipline

·         VMWare certifications, Linux Certifications, other infrastructure certifications a plus

 

Experience:

·         Working knowledge writing system and user specifications/documentation

·         Working knowledge of UML

·         Working knowledge of object oriented computer programming.

·         Must be strong in scripting (Shell and PERL)
