Req: Sr. ORACLE DBA with ExaData + SAP platform @ Cincinnati, OH

 

We need an expert Oracle DBA with expertise in Exa data & knowledge on SAP platform.

Timelines are very tight, go-live is scheduled for May 14th, consultant will need to start from Monday May 2nd itself.

Location is Cincinnati, OH

Statement of Work

 

Location: Cincinnati, OH

Timeline: ASAP – go live is May 14th

 

Company will provide up to twenty (20) person days of Oracle Database Assessment Services ("Services") to assist You in Your assessment and performance tuning of yourDatabase 12c database based environment running on Exadata("Database") supporting SAP application.  The Services many include, but are not necessarily limited to, assistance with the following tasks:

 

A.     Reviewing existing reference materials, that You provide to Oracle, for Your Database.

 

B.     Identifying architectural gaps and process improvement options by reviewing in current state, Your:

a.       Database configuration;

b.      Database operating system and Database parameters;

c.       SAP  recommended database operating systems and database parameters

d.      Automatic Storage Management (ASM) configurations and/or storage disk configurations.

e.       Exadata configuration by performing an ExaChk on existing Exadata engineered systems and assist with the resolution any issues

 

C.     Gathering Your current Database diagnostic information by:

a.       Collecting statistics through ADDM (Automatic Database Diagnostics Monitor), Automatic Workload Repository (AWR) or Oracle Enterprise Manager;

b.      Reviewing existing Database performance as well as any anecdotal performance evidence collected and provided to Oracle by You;

c.       Reviewing the large Database tables, index definitions and growth, and analyzing the impact on the overall performance of the Database;

d.      Reviewing and analyzing existing database performance and specific problem areas identified from statistics collected from Services performed above; and

e.       Reviewing up to ten (10) Structured query language (SQL) statements identified through the AWR report.

 

D.     Provide implementation assistance remediating identified gaps and issues.

E.      Provide up to five (5) days of production cutover and go-live support.

F.      Documenting Database assessment results and presenting recommendations to You.
