Job Description
The Technical Specialist is a senior level resource with specialized knowledge and experience in a specific technology such as SharePoint development or an SAP specialist. The Technical Specialist has an overall knowledge and understanding of application development and architecture that serves as a strong base for technical expertise in a specific product or program.
Description of Duties
· Senior SAP Business Warehouse (BW) Consultant responsible for development and support of an existing SAP BW environment. Experience with public sector is preferred.
· Provides support for enhancements to existing SAP BW DataSources, DSOs, InfoCubes, MultiProviders, InfoObjects, InfoSets & APDs.
· Create/modify transformations; or convert existing update rules and/or transfer rules to transformations
· Update/Create SAP BW queries and workbooks using the Query Designer and BEx Analyzer tools
· Identify, troubleshoot & resolve issues in development/configuration/reporting
· Provide accurate and detailed work effort and time estimates
· Develop and document test strategies & results
Required Skills
· Technical expertise in SAP Business Warehouse (BW)
· 4 year college degree or equivalent technical study
· Written communication skills to adequately document work
· Oral communication skills to train staff and inform management of all implemented assignments
· Communicate accurate and useful status updates weekly
· Technical ability to configure a software tool to produce desired output
· Experience developing and reviewing management reports
· Experience gathering business requirements and translating to technical specifications
· Experience developing metrics and dashboard reporting
· Installation of BW
· Experience with both SAP BW 3.5 and 7.x
