Job Title: Full Stack Software Engineer

Job Description
You'll be helping us build a new cloud-based mobile product authentication platform. We need someone who's not afraid to get their hands dirty at every level of the project—including system architecture, REST API and server design, iOS and Android app development, database design and implementation, and service implementation and deployment through a cloud service such as Amazon AWS. You will be the sole software developer on this project, and we need someone who can operate independently and confidently with no technical direction.
Your first task upon hire will be to come up to speed on the technology itself and the existing prototype app we have already developed. You will need to solicit functional requirements from senior management, sketch a system architecture which supports the company's goals, and then execute on that plan. Your job will be to author a pair of software development kits (for Android and iOS, respectfully), a matching pair of demonstration apps which utilize those SDKs, and a back-end cloud server component and web administration portal.
We are a small company, and we are seeking a flexible developer who doesn't shy away from the unfamiliar, relishes the opportunity to learn something new, is passionate about their work, is not afraid to push their skills to the limit, and will take full ownership of the product from A-Z.
Duties
• Designs and develops software including: performing requirement analysis, software architecture design and optimization, data structure design, control algorithm development, signal processing, image processing, communication protocol development and implementation, and hardware/software integration.
• Documents and archives software program releases in accordance with company software development process.
• Develops functional specifications, software requirements, and software specifications.
• Develops test protocols for design verification.
• Coordinates and participates in software design reviews and code reviews.
• Works closely with other highly skilled engineering professionals to solve multi-disciplinary design issues to deliver top quality products to the end user.
• Provides technical expertise on software to sales and marketing, field service, quality services and customers. Assists in the resolution of product based technical issues.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science
• Minimum 3 years experience in full-stack software development
• Experience working in a fast-paced, self-directed, start-up environment.
• Amazon AWS compute, storage, database, networking, deployment, and security
• iOS (Objective-C, Swift) and Android (Java) development
• HTTP REST API design and implementation
• Experience with Web Frameworks
• Python
• PostgreSQL, or other SQL database
• JavaScript, HTML, CSS
• Experience with software life cycle tools such as revision control (such as git, or subversion), and issue tracking.
• Excellent organizational, communication and teamwork skills.
Pluses
• Embedded system experience (microcontrollers, Arduino, etc.)
• Django / Django REST Framewo
