The candidate will be responsible for building Java applications. This includes anything between complex groups of back-end services and their client-end (desktop and mobile) counterparts. Your primary responsibility will be to design and develop these applications, and to coordinate with the rest of the team working on different layers of the application. We are looking for a candidate experienced in commercial software/corporate application web development with a good portion of that specifically in Java and current client-side technologies (Java and Spring MVC) In addition to web development it is highly desired to have experience with JavaScript (AngularJS) HTML5/CSS3.
The candidate will have advanced knowledge and experience in object oriented design and development with experience in multi-tier architecture. We are an Agile/Scrum development team, so experience to that methodology is essential, as well as the demonstrated ability to deliver working solutions on a tight schedule.
Required Qualifications
o At least 10 years of extensive web and web service development experience
- Proficient in Java, with a good knowledge of its ecosystems
- Solid understanding of object-oriented programming
- Familiar with various design and architectural patterns
- Skill for writing reusable Java libraries
- Hands on experience in modern web technologies like HTML5, JavaScript, CSS3, JSP, JSON
- Proven experienced in designing and developing web services
- Familiarity with concepts of MVC, JDBC, and RESTful
- Understanding fundamental design principles behind a scalable application
- Understanding of JVM, its limitations, weaknesses, and workarounds
- Implementing automated testing platforms and unit tests
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as TFS, Git
- Extensive experience with build tools such as Ant, Maven, and Gradle
- Familiarity with continuous integration
- Working knowledge of WebSphere application and web servers
o Strong background in agile/scrum development
- Strong testing skills
- Strong communication skills
- Adept at problem solving
