Jr. QA Tester (CPT/OPT/H1b ok) needs (3-6) exp. candidate
Madison, WI
Long term Contract(3+yrs.)
Six test team resources are needed to assist with testing efforts for the ETF Benefits Administration System (BAS) Project, to include: validation testing sessions, UAT for Rollouts, usability sessions, performance and load testing, regression testing, etc. Specific testing support activities will include: working with SMEs during test sessions, tracking test execution progress, documenting issues, writing and executing test scripts, hands-on testing, etc.
Testing Technician capabilities with approximately 1-3 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Has knowledge of commonly used test concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
Testing support activities will include:
ü Proctoring testing sessions
ü Working with SMEs –answer questions; help with system access, navigation and/or test script issues; trouble-shooting, etc.
ü Tracking test execution progress, test session details and test execution results
ü Creating/logging testing/support tickets and the related support activities (outlining the steps to reproduce, collecting screenshots, redacting PII, etc.)
ü Writing test scripts, observing and/or leading usability test sessions
ü Executing test scripts
ü Early and regular "banging on" the system to flush out bugs and problems early in the process
Desired knowledge, skills and abilities include:
ü Knowledge of formal and informal testing strategies and methodologies
ü Ability to develop and execute test plans and coordinate results to validate that business requirements are achieved
ü Interpersonal team building skills to develop and sustain effective working relations, including facilitation and leadership skills
ü Well-developed oral and written communication skills
ü Ability to obtain information and insight even when others are reluctant to share
ü Ability to work as an effective member of a team environment
ü Ability to communicate business concepts and information to a wide range of audiences
ü Ability to analyze facts and problems, infer and decide on potential appropriate solutions
ü Effective time management, organizational and priority setting techniques
ü Ability to analyze facts and apply sound judgment in decision making
ü Ability to use applications of Microsoft Excel, Word, Access, etc.
ü Ability to learn quickly and to synthesize complex information
