Position: Data Architect/Crystal Reports Developer
Location: Richmond, VA
Duration: 6 Months (Possible Fulltime Conversion)
Interview: In-Person (Confirm your candidate can go F2F)
Rate: $60/hr on C2C/1099

Seeking highly experienced Crystal Reports Developer with excellent knowledge of Crystal Reports Design/Development and Strong Oracle/SQL background.
- Gather requirements for developing reports, analyze new/existing report requirements. Develop quality reports to meet user requirements.
- Review existing reports built in COBOL or Crystal Report environments. Quickly understand the domain and underlying data structure to develop the new reports.
- Understand the design aspects of Crystal Reports with a working knowledge of Oracle.
- Develop Complex Crystal Reports using Sub reports, Parameters/Prompts, Formulas, Report Alerts, OLAP grids objects, Cross-Tab objects, OLE objects, Charts/Maps, Running Totals, Linking tables
- Automate scheduling of reports on a daily/weekly/monthly basis to deliver reports by email to target audience.
- Monitors report execution to determine if reports are still being used or if the run time of the reports is becoming too long and needs optimization
- Performs extensive testing of reports before handing off to users.
- Thorough understanding of relational databases, query optimization, performance tuning, process automation
- Able to manage their own individual projects efficiently and to schedule with little oversight.
- Experience using source control software, deploying reports, and using defect tracking tool such as BugZilla to manage defects.
- Production support experience in multiple QA and Prod environments.
- Good working knowledge of authentication and access control using Active Directory
- Good understanding of SDLC framework
8 Years of experience required in following
- Crystal reports design and development (SAP Crystal 2008 or higher versions)
- Oracle database (Oracle 11g)
- building SQL queries, including creating sub-queries, minus/union, and inline queries and performance tuning of SQL
- Data mapping experience in implementation and design
- Crystal Reports / BO XI administration experience desirable.
- Knowledge of crystal report server configuration desirable, including performance tuning and capacity planning
- Knowledge of Crystal Reports / BO architecture and security desirable.
- COBOL development experience
