Senior SQL DBA
Washington, DC (In Person Interview Only)
12+ Months Contract
Need Visa Copy for H1's & GC's
Rate: $60/hr on C2C
Candidate MUST be local – Interviews will ONLY be on-site
Required Experience
BE or BS Degree in one of the following subject areas: Computer Science, Business Administration, Information Technology or related field preferred
2 -3 years IT operation with strong understanding of database structures, theories, principles, and practices
5-7 years Microsoft SQL Server experience
Understanding of, and experience with, server-client computing and relational database environments
Experience with data management and data processing flowcharting techniques
Knowledge of reporting and query tools and practices
Good understanding of the organizations goals and objectives
Good interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
Technical documentation skills
Ability to present ideas in user-friendly language
Self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail
Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
Good written and oral communication skills
Required Skills
SQL Server 2008 R2, SQL Server 2012, SQL Server 2014
T-SQL, Data Mapping, SSIS, SSRS
Database Administration
Disaster Recovery – Database Mirroring, Log Shipping
Database Tuning
Database Management
Database Security
RDBMS
Bachelor's Degree
Preferred Skills
Windows administrator knowledge and experience with 64-bit environments
Knowledge of C# SMO programming.
Writing, testing and maintenance SQL server maintenance plans
Experience with SSAS and Power Shell
Writing, testing and maintaining Windows scripts/scheduled jobs
Writing, testing and maintaining T-SQL and stored procedures as they relate to DBA support
