Job Description
Title: Database Tester - Med Device Experience Highly Preferred
JOB EXPERIENCE:
• Knowledge of test methodologies and processes
• 6+ years of testing and application experience
• 4+ years SQL knowledge
• Database experience in SQL - DB2, Oracle, NoSQL and, SQL Server
• Strong in Database/Backend testing (SQL Queries - Complex)
• Data Warehouse Knowledge and ETL knowledge
• Planning and coordinating test activities
• Test case development and defect resolution
• Experience in developing and executing test scripts in a regulated environment
• Some knowledge of applications development and infrastructure technologies including enterprise wide application experience (e.g., SAP, Siebel, PeopleSoft, etc.)
SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:
• A general understanding of Enterprise architecture and how environments work within the testing effort
• Understanding of quality regulations and testing techniques required for the medical device industry
• Demonstrated strong skills in using Microsoft desktop applications, such as Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, Visio, etc
• Demonstrated analytical thinking, process mapping, process improvement and problem solving skills
• Demonstrated strong communication skills (oral, business writing, presentations and listening)
• High energy and motivation with an ability to adapt to change
• Knowledge of the HP Mercury Test Tool Suite
• Preferences include:
o Global program/project experience
o Experience with multiple system development life cycles testing strategies (e.g., waterfall, agile, iterative, etc.)
