Position: DB2 DBA
Duration: 12 months
Location: Olympia, WA
Requirements Needed – List of Skills/Abilities
- Strong experience in using CA Erwin data modeler performing physical data modeling for DB2 LUW (Windows) and DDL generation;
- Proven skills in developing, documenting and implementing automation of database provisioning (DB2 on Windows) and maintenance processes;
- Strong experience in installation, system configuration, design, implementation and maintenance of DB2 10 Windows AESE systems;
- Strong experience in troubleshooting performance issues on DB2 Windows using monitoring tools (Optim Performance Manger preferred);
- Strong experience in automation of deploying database object changes using Windows .BAT and PowerShell to execute the DDLs;
- Strong experience in working with tuning Stored Procedures, dynamic SQL queries and complex SQL queries;
- Strong experience in working with Windows Servers
- Strong experience on DB2 Windows security using LDAP, Microsoft Active directory;
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team, work closely with business, testing and development teams;
- Excellent problem solving, troubleshooting, communication and interpersonal skills; and
- Exceptional time management skills and proven ability to meet deadlines.
Desirable skills – List of Skills/Abilities:
- Hands on experience with High availability disaster recovery (HADR) on DB2 Windows AESE Version 10;
- Experience in working with version control systems such as SVN; and
- Good understanding of Software Development Life Cycle processes and development methodologies
