Job Description:
NYSDOH is in need of temporary contractual services for specialist who will be responsible for the overall technical design of the New York Early Intervention System (NYEIS) and other EI data systems.
Day to day tasks include but are not limited to the following:
Responsible for the strategy, integration and design of the applications and platforms. Creates, validates and/or implements hardware and software design and changes in order to provide a platform for the NYEIS application. Provides direction to the development team in execution of the construction, enhancement, and operation of the application.
Candidates should have at least 84 months experience, and at least one of the following should apply
Experience designing, deploying, and/or managing a three tier, service oriented architecture application.
Experience with designing and implementing high availability systems running on open systems using virtual servers.
Experience of overseeing or directly designing, implementing, and/or managing internal and external application or electronic data interfaces.
Experience with designing, deploying, and/or managing secure data exchange between internal and external systems.
Systems operational management experience.
Developing and managing change control.
Experience with open systems.
Experience with documenting and updating system information
Experience using Version Control.
Experience with virtual systems.
Experience in Oracle 10g or higher development.
Network configuration and monitoring.
Experience leading a technology team.
Software monitoring tools such as Tivoli.
Experience with web-based front end tools, such as WebSphere.
Experience with planning and implementing platform upgrades.
