Title: Linux System Admin

Duration: 6+ months

Location: Woonsocket, RI

Rate: $50-$53/hr on C2C

Description of Project for Linux Engineer:

Linux Engineer to join a team of 6-7 engineers on a team supporting an enterprise environment with over 200,000 servers (virtual and hard servers). Looking for an individual to be able to build, configure and deploy systems as well as document processes and system work.

 

Individual must be strong Bash Scripting skills to identify and troubleshoot issues within an environment that includes thousands of lines of scripts running.

 

This is a new position to help with additional work flow.

 

Required Skills for Linux Engineer:

• Strong Linux systems experience (Suse would be ideal but not a must)Strong Bash scripting experience (Awk, Perl, etc)
• Experience working within a development environment
• Experience digging into complex technical issues and finding solutions through research and past experience
• Ability to work both independently and within a team environment
• Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
• Desired Skills (not required but you will get exposure to some of these):
• Desktop Engineering/Linux Distribution experience
• Additional Requirements:Must be able to pass a background check
• Must be able to pass a drug test
• Location:Woonsocket, RI
• Duration:6 months + contract position
