Job Title: CHEF Lead Developer & Packaging Expert
Duration: 6 months with possible extension
Location: Rye, New York
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Architecting and designing the Chef Infrastructure layout.
- Creating Chef recipes for configuration management of key security files and settings.
- Documentation and cross training of the implemented Chef infrastructure.
- General UNIX scripting to support various automation efforts.
- Support for RPM packaging and mentoring.
- Familiarity in working with large Enterprises like 3 Data Centers and 7000+ Servers
- Excellent Communication and Verbal skills
- Experience with developing/automating test environments
- Experience with configuration, monitoring, and release management
- Familiarity with release engineering, system build, and process automation
- Solid understanding of continuous integration, deployment, and operations concepts
- Familiarity with build and release management related tools such as: Jenkins/Hudson or equivalent, JIRA or equivalent and GIT, SVN or other SCM tools, GIT strongly desired
1. Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required. Will also consider one year of relevant work experience in lieu of every year of education
2. At least 4 years of experience In Information technology.
3. Java background
4. Chef Development experience – must have skill
5. person having deployment and automation experience using chef – must have skill--
