Technical Recruiters Urgent : Project Manager for Rockville, MD | LOCALS ONLY |

Dear Candidate,

 

We have an urgent opening for  Project manager  and I have sent you a  job description ,Please go through it and let me know if  you are comfortable with it and also send me your consultant's updated resume ASAP.    

 

Location:  Rockville, MD

Duration: 6 + Months

 

Note experience in field of Public Safety is a major plus.  Start August through end June 2016 with excellent chance of extension.

 

Scope of Work:

 

1)      The contractor will work with the Project Managers for all public safety system modernization (PSSM) projects to develop a master program schedule.

2)      The contractor will develop and maintain a program level resource plan which covers all personnel assigned to any project and their interdependencies.

3)      The contractor will work with the Project Managers, and the project teams to identify, prioritize and resolve risks and issues associated with resource conflicts and scheduling interdependencies within the program. 

4)      The contractor will communicate across all levels of the PSSM program and provide timely and accurate project information as requested.

5)      The contractor will be assigned to assist PSSM Project Managers with various tasks as needed, which may include development of task orders and contract extensions, development of quality assurance plans, performing quality assurance activities, tracking quality defects, etc.

6)      Contract staff will work side-by-side with County staff to facilitate knowledge transfer.

7)      Contract staff will report directly to the PSSM Program Director

 

The ideal candidates will have the following background:

  •          Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree in, Information Technology or a related field
    •          Demonstrated experience in the development and maintenance of Project Management documents (project schedule, resource plan, risk log, issues log, etc.).
    •          Demonstrated experience in the Project Management of successively more complex large-scale, customer-focused, cross-functional business projects, with success in delivering projects that meet business needs on-time and within budget.
    •          Demonstrated experience in the field of Public Safety.
    •          Project Management Institute (PMI), Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Five (5) years' experience in significant large scale, multi-system integration and project management in a technical environment throughout the full project life cycle with experience in the Software Implementation process (SDLC).
  • Demonstrated Project Management experience in managing large COTS vendor developed IT systems, including experience in systems, network, and hardware implementations in support of software implementations.
  • Demonstrated experience with contract management and administration, including contract and task order negotiations, and issuance and development of contract amendments.
