Role: Senior SQL Server DBA

The main purpose of this position will be to administer Microsoft SQL Server, which includes implementation, performance tuning, ongoing maintenance, backup/recovery, security, auditing, production support, migration, providing On-Call support and last but not least architecting adequate technical solution that best suits client's requirements and needs.
The Senior SQL Server Database Administrator is primarily concerned with managing SQL Server relational database management system hosted on the Microsoft Windows 2003/2008/2008R2/2012 Platform running on Physical and Virtual hardware platforms in a 24 x 7 environment. SQL Server Database Administrator will work in coordination with other DBA's, as well as other departmental resources to best meet the overall database administration needs.
Requirements:
9 years DBA experience with Microsoft SQL Server in a production environment\
5+ year experience with SSIS / SSRS / SSAS – Must have SSIS ETL Experience.
Ability to facilitate discussion, to teach, and to train concepts related to data retrieval, data analysis, data integrity, and analytical information systems in RDBMS environments.
Ability to manage all DB maintenance plan activities including backups, indexing, and integrity checks, etc.
Experience running and supporting very large data warehouse databases (OLAP, Big Data)
Experience running and supporting very large databases under high transaction rates (OLTP, VLDB)
Expertise with configuring, implementing and supporting large highly available SQL Server environments, including experience with Failover Cluster and database mirroring/always on.
Good working knowledge of query, index and DB I/O performance tuning
Knowledge of disaster recovery, including planning, testing, backup/restore using TSM/TDP.
Understanding and experience with SAN hardware and administration
Understanding of Cisco Networking, CheckPoint Firewalls
Understanding of Virtual Server environments
Use Microsoft SQL Server DMVs, and other tools like CXPACKET.
Use of tools like Idera SQL Diagnostics, SCOM 2012 SQL Data Warehouse for reporting.
Prior Healthcare domain experience is preferred.
