Senior Systems Business Analyst
Location: NJ
Long-term
· Perform business analysis to capture system, data & reporting requirements and translating to technical specs
· Responsible for understanding in house application terminologies and project management procedures
· Prepare test cases and representative test data
· Test solutions before releasing it to the end customer
· Possess a high degree of creativity and a can do attitude.
· Work with offsite product development teams
· Ability to work independently without a great amount of supervision.
· Ability to deliver under pressure, adapt to changing environment, and multi-task
· Communicate with internal and external customers and all levels of management. Also must be able to communicate technical information to non-technical audiences
Qualifications
· A Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, finance or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
· PMP certification is a plus
Experience
· 7+ years of overall experience
· 5 plus years of experience working as a Business Analyst in the Energy industry and/or Financial domain supporting business users and developers to develop custom software solutions.
· Experience with Project Management and methodologies to successful product delivery
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills for developing client deliverables and presentations
· Skilled in effectively using standard office tools (Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint, Access, Visio, Outlook, etc.).
· Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multi-tasking and meet deadlines
Technical Experience/Exposure:
· C#, Visual Basic.Net, ASP.NET, SQL Server (SSIS, T-SQL, Stored Procedures, Query optimization), Excel-VBA, Microsoft Visual Tools for Office (VSTO) and Oracle 11g (PL/SQL) database platform.
· Preferred Domain Experience
