Project Manager

Location : Elk Grove, CA

1 year contract

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Electronic Health Record System Project Manager for Large Implementation

 

GENERAL DUTIES:      

·         Works with client to define scope, requirements and deliverables.

·         Develops, modifies or provides input to project plans.

·         Implements project plans to meet objectives.

·         Coordinates and integrates project activities.

·         Manages, leads, or administers project resources.

·         Monitors project activities and resources to mitigate risk.

·         Implements or maintains quality assurance processes.

·         Makes improvements, solves problems or takes corrective action when problems arise.

·         Gives presentations or briefings on all aspects of the project.

·         Participates in phase, milestones, and final project reviews.

·         Identifies project documentation requirements or procedures.

 

IT DUTIES & TASKS:

  • Identifies customer's information systems requirements.
  • Analyzes information systems requirements or environment.
  • Designs or conducts analytical studies, feasibility studies, cost-benefit analyses or other research.
  • Evaluates, monitors, or ensures compliance with laws, regulations, policies, standard or procedures.
  • Integrates IT systems and/or subsystems.
  • Develops IT testing strategies, plans or scenarios.
  • Identifies standards or requirements for infrastructure configuration or change amendments.
  • Participates in change control process.
  • Develops or implements IT security plans and procedures.
  • Ensures appropriate product-relate.

 

SPECIFIC DUTIES & TASKS:

  • Review, validate, and update EHRS plans as necessary to maintain currency and applicability to EHRS Project go-live, implementation and support strategies.
  • Assist designated EHRS Project Leads with application of project management best practices to manage EHRS Project requirements, scope, quality, communications, issues, risks, and schedules.
  • Perform critical assessment of EHRS Contractor project management artifacts, practices, and deliverables, providing written assessments to the EHRS Project Director or designee.
  • Perform assessment of existing EHRS Project processes and provide written recommendations for improvements to the EHRS Project Director or designee.
  • Work proactively with EHRS Project oversight entities to review their observations/findings, develop written response plans to observations/findings, and execute response plans to mitigate or resolve the observations/findings.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Three (3) years of broad, extensive and increasingly responsible experience applying project management principles, methods, techniques, and tools. At least one (1) year of that experience must have been in a lead capacity.
  • Requires a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university, or four (4) years full-time experience applying project management principles, methods, techniques, and tools in a lead capacity

CERTIFICATIONS: 

  • PMP certificate from PMI, which will be verified during the hiring process.
