Position: UI developer
Location: Houston, TX
Duration: 1 Year Contract
Required:
• At least 9+ years of experience designing great user interfaces across various browsers supporting the latest technologies.
• HTML(5), CSS(3), JavaScript, AJAX, MV* frameworks
• Knows how to develop and test cross-browser compatible UI
• Knows JQuery and JQueryUI or similar
• Knows how to create wireframes and UI mockups for review with the end-users.
• Able to work with end-users to understand their UI needs
• At least 3+ years of developing Portlets on Liferay; preference is 5+ years of experience.
• Strong Java and Object Oriented design skills
• Ability to write SQL queries and stored procedures
• Hibernate experience
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Automated Testing using JUnit or similar
• Spring framework
• Independent
Recommended
• Experience with one or more of the following frameworks: AngularJS, Backbone.js, Knockout.js, AlloyUI.
• Has worked with charting/dashboard tools like FusionCharts, Dundas, etc.
• SCRUM and Agile methodologies
• Knows Liferay and Liferay themes
• SCRUM and Agile methodologies
• Alloy UI, HTML, CSS
• REST API
• Spring Portlet Framework
• Spring Web MVC
• Responsible of implementing the detailed technical design solution of the Best in Class Partner Portal implementation.
• Regularly leads in the technical assessment and delivery of specific technical solutions to the customer.
• Work with the end-users to understand their needs by creating storyboards and wireframe prototypes
• Responsible for actively engaging in sprint planning meetings to truly understand the end-user process and needs.
• You will become a mentor to other developers to assure Liferay best practices and recommendations are followed.
• Provides a team structure conducive to high performance, and manages the team lifecycle stages.
• Provides advanced technical consulting and advice to others on proposal efforts, solution design, system management, tuning and modification of solutions.
• Provides input to strategy moving forward.
• Engages in technical problem solving across multiple technologies; often needs to develop new methods to apply to the situation.
