Position: Solutions Manager, Lead Architect
Location: East Windsor, NJ
Duration: 6 months
Ideal candidate will have the technical skills but will also have pre-sales experience.
Candidate must have strong communication skills as this is a client facing position.
Candidate will interact with high-level management from client site.
Candidate must be able to put a price to the design and deliver sales presentation.
Job Description:
Solutions Manager, Lead Architect
As a Lead Architect driving overall customer offerings and having distinct capabilities to delve deeply into technical solutions, candidate will be responsible for translating client needs into specific technical requirements that are agreed upon with the line of business and team members ultimately responsible for operating them; this includes business analysis and requirements gathering, conceptual architecture design, detailed costing, contractual statement of work, SLA's, commercial proposals, executive interaction with both internal and customer management, and successful handoff to delivery teams for solution implementations.
Candidate is recognized as the subject matter expert both internally and with clients; developing complex technical solutions as part of an overall solution framework and engagement team.
Additional responsibilities include overseeing projects through to completion from an architectural design perspective and providing leadership in that regard to ensure client expectations and SLAs are fulfilled.
KEY TECHNOLOGIES:
Wintel based Application Hosting Products such as IIS and .NET Framework; including clustering and replication technologies
Unix or Linux based Application Hosting Products such as WebLogic, Apache; including clustering and replication technologies
High level understanding of the following:
Authentication Technologies such as Active Directory, LDAP, eRights, Oracle Identity Management
Linux, Windows, and Unix Hardware or Operating Systems
Server Virtualization Technologies such as VMWare and LDOMs
High Availability Technologies including Replication, Load Balancing and Disaster Recovery
Cloud services and technologies
REQUIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:
7 plus years of IT experience with Application hosting and solutions architecture and design
Significant experience with solutions development, testing, proof of concept and migration issues, problems and considerations
High level understanding and experience of application development life-cycle and alternative SDLC methodologies such as Agile
Consultative approach with customers and ability to articulate technical concepts using simple business language for the non-technical.
Flexibility to adjust to changing requirements, schedules and priorities.
Ability to build strong relationships and trust across both internal and client organizations
Ability to decide critical design, operational and financial points with great accuracy in a short time frame
General Business acumen
Superior written and verbal communication skills
Prior experience in performing and or managing projects
