Partner with individual Agile development teams to improve their execution methods, and drive overall improved results. Own and manage plans for teams' projects, drive established SDLC processes and lead the project teams to develop and deliver cutting edge tools, services & components. Work closely with program managers, product managers, engineering managers & leads, QA leads and executive management.
Responsibilities will include: creating and managing the project plans inclusive of project resource planning, working with Agile teams and Leadership teams on varied levels of scoping and estimating, resource allocation analysis, risk analysis, driving cross-functional team deliverables, schedules, hitting target milestones, ensuring that all stakeholders are kept fully informed of project status and progress.
Must have hands-on experience using Agile processes, tools, and technologies to deliver real world products, detailed understanding of Agile values and the ability to lead multiple projects using Agile methods.
Additional Responsibilities:
· Agile project management on individual Agile projects using Scrum methods
· Mentoring Agile teams and help them continuously improve their Agile implementation to deliver in more efficient and effective manner
· Developing, publishing and maintaining Agile adoption metrics for teams
· Managing external and internal program & project dependencies
· Ensuring that all stakeholders are kept fully informed of project status and progress;
· Managing open issues and working cross-functionally to determine remedies as necessary;
· Ensuring quality of product releases;
· Acting as an advocate for internal customers throughout all stages of a project;
· Providing weekly status updates on all projects and communicating & help actively managing priorities of teams
Essential skills | Desirable |
· Dynamic, results-oriented, detail-driven Agile project manager with at least 5 years of experience · Understanding of and experience with Software Development project life cycle · Impeccable communication and cross-team coordination skills. Solid oral, written, and presentation as well as strong interpersonal skills are required · Excellent facilitation skills, with ability to lead by serving · Has a stake in seeing the team succeed. Needs to have a low personal ego, but high pride in building team and high self-awareness. · Expertise in developing detailed plans for complex projects involving challenging requirements, limited resources, and fixed deadlines · Excellent relationship building skills · Proven track record of leading teams to successfully deliver on multiple projects simultaneously · Familiarity with standard project management concepts, practices, and procedures, including experience with Enterprise Project Management · Attention to detail, the ability to work in a fast-paced and energetic environment · Advanced in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. · Intermediate in Microsoft Project, and Visio. · Experience using Rally for Agile implementations · Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related discipline · A minimum of 3+ years of professional experience in project management of Java/J2EE applications is required · CSM certification | - Experience in mentoring & coaching junior project managers - PMP-Agile certification a plus |
