Position: Data Architect
Location: Albertville, AL.

Role and Responsibilities
· Structure a corporate-wide data environment to make data readily available for reporting while maintaining a secure environment
· Architect and develop conceptual, logical and physical data models for business intelligence reporting
· Design of the target structures (database tables) to meet reporting needs
· Architect and develop the ETL mechanism to merge data from multiple source systems
· Design and develop one or more loading mechanisms to load and feed changes into the target structure
· Troubleshoot data and application issues; fully analyze the impact and determine the strategy for a resolution; implement a solution
· Support report developers for object development query optimization
· Work with developers, including outside consultants, to assist in communicating business and technical requirements for projects or operational need
· Employ strategic thinking, problem-solving, and communications skills to ensure successful systems implementations
· Communicate effectively at all levels of operation as necessary from direct reports to Sr. VP-level customers
Qualifications and Education Requirements
· Bachelors degree in CS, CIS, Math, MIS, or related Technology field
· Minimum 7-10 years Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, SQL statement performance tuning, and relational database design
· Direct experience with data analysis and database concepts
· Direct experience with BI support and/or concepts
· Direct experience with business requirements development and analysis
· Direct experience with supporting or employing reporting tools
· Understanding of general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, HR, sales and purchasing
· Proficient in Linux and scripting
· Proficient with Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Word)
