Job Title: Sr.Net Developer (WPF)
Location: Saint Cloud MN or Minneapolis MN
Duration: 6+ Months
Must have 10+ Years Experience.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Important: Desktop development with the .NET platform, preferrably with experience in applications developed for Visual Studio shell • Important: Experience with XML technologies, i.e. schemas, xslt, xpath, etc. • Expert in technologies and the tools used in the development environment (C#/.NET, ASP.NET, SQL, WCF, Javascript, jQuery, AJAX, JSON, Visual Studio 2012-2013, Team Foundation Server). • Ensure that software products deliver business value, are completed on time, have high quality, and minimize technical debt. • Lead design and code efforts within a project team. Clearly communicate actionable information to the project team. • Assist with technical and process mentoring and/or training of the engineering staff, particularly in the areas of software design and good coding practices. • Assist in defining and implementing new development processes, tools, and methodologies while demonstrating a strong knowledge of industry standard and best practices. • Lead advanced debugging efforts within the project team when production and development issues arise. • Continuously stay current on market trends and new technologies that can affect how we approach our solutions. • Develop and document software designs that emphasize usefulness/usability, stability, performance, and reusability. • Participate in R&D initiatives that are focused on new product design, usage and/or applicability of new technologies, and architectural direction. • Establish collaborative relationships with project managers and other functional team members to ensure success of projects. When needed, act as a liaison to the business, assisting with decisions that require technical expertise. • Successfully interact across various functional roles and departments to ensure effective communication and collaboration. • Accurately assess/identify project and/or business risks providing critical decision support by identifying acceptable risks and outlining risk impact/responses. • Establish and uphold firm expectations and ensure that deliverables are self-certified prior to transitioning to the downstream consumers of the deliverable (QA and customers). • Ability to communicate effectively both written and orally with a wide variety of personalities. • Work independently. The expectation is that the employee in this position will be able to receive a statement of objectives and high level direction and be able to figure out the details of what needs to be done technically, as well as be able to clearly communicate the technical vision to his/her peers.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS Education: • Bachelor's degree in computer science (or related discipline) required or 3 years of relevant work experience. Experience: • Bachelor's degree in computer science (or related discipline) required. • 5 to 10+ years of experience in professional software development.. • Understanding of and experience with an agile SDLC (such as Scrum, XP, Lean, Kanban, Scrumban). • Understanding of and experience in developing in a Continuous Integration Environment. • Understanding of and experience in the use and creation of automated unit tests. • Knowledge of common software design patterns (MVC3 or MVC4 preferred). • Knowledge of ORM Frameworks (such as nHibernate and Entity). • Knowledge of Dependency Injection Containers (such as Castle Windsor and Unity) • Knowledge of NoSQL DBs (such as RavenDB or MongoDB) is a plus • Minimum of 5 years' experience in developing .NET technology solutions. • Minimum of 5 years' experience of developing hosted web-based software. • Minimum of 2 years' experience in performance tuning of complex software systems.
