Job Title: QA Automation Engineer
Location: Richardson, TX 75081
Duration: 1 year

The QA Engineer will be a hands-on technical person responsible for performing manual and automated testing of the company applications. Under general direction, debugs complex software products through the use of systematic tests to develop, apply and maintain quality standards for company products. Design, code and execute automated (UI and Services) and manual test scripts. Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Technical consulting on automation issues, tools and processes. May take part in researching best practices, new tools and technology.
Responsibilities:
· Plan and executes both manual and automated functional, non-functional and regression tests
· Understand the application concepts and flow in order to identify the re-usable key components for automation purposes
· Ability to quickly understand and design/update automation framework as per the application need
· Suggest or recommend appropriate automation framework changes that best suites the application under automation
· Create library of functions and recovery scenarios using Selenium or any other tools that supports Java platform
· Create & execute automated scripts/components using Selenium or any other tools that supports Java platform
· Design, Create and execute Java fixtures using Fitnesse, cucumber or any other integration automation tools that supports Java platform
· Review scripts created by peers and suggest appropriate changes for code optimization
· Document automation creation procedures as and when necessary
· Work with other onshore/offshore team members to achieve common goal/vision
· Support project related automation and manual testing activities for onshore/offshore scrum teams
· Mentor other junior members of the team
· Able to train other QA test Engineers with UI/Services Automation and Fitnesse, cucumber like Tools
Specific Skills:
· Strong experience in testing Services based Architecture
· Strong Automation skills in both UI and service level
· Strong UI Automation experience writing complex functions and components using Java
· Experience with Fintnesse, cucumber like tools
· Experience with TestNG and GEB
· Good understanding of Page Object Patterns
· Experience with Subversion source code repository tool
· Proficiency in use of PL/SQL or SQL related tools.
· Java skills are required so that the QA Engineer can:
- Perform service level testing
- Work very closely with the developers
- Write Java code in a selenium framework, or some other service testing framework
· Demonstrate knowledge of various automation Tools and techniques depending on the type of application being automated
· Strong understanding of the full software development life cycle in multiple environments
· Strong interpersonal & analytical skills with proven ability to work independently as well as with a broad range of personality styles and types
· Good communication skills
· Ability to quickly gain an understanding of a business and application
Desired Experience:
· Must have at least 3 years hands-on experience in automation activities involving web-based applications
· Must have 3 years of experience using Fitnesse and Selenium like tools in designing and developing fixture and automated test scripts
· Experience in defining and designing Fitnesse framework would be a plus
Education Requirement: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
Nice to have:
· Performance testing experience using any industry standard tools (JMeter, LoadRunner etc.)would be a plus
· Hands on experience with Agile Methodology would be a plus
