Position: Mobile Test Engineer / Test Lead
Location: Bellevue, WA
Duration: 6+ months
Client: Infosys
Job Description:
Key Activities
• Responsible for Requirements analysis and test estimation , preparing test strategy and review, test plan and test cases/scenarios preparation and review and test execution
• Interacting with development team, business users, technical architects and other relevant stakeholders to manage and resolve dependencies and issues for the testing process
• Defect management and tracking to closure and test management in HP Quality Centre and requirements traceability
• Status reporting on test progress, test coverage
Required Skills:
• Very good experience in different types of mobile testing (native, Hybrid, Responsive web)
• Automation testing background with some coding experience in Java/C#
• Experience in creating Mobile Test Strategy including specific tool selection, validating against diverse networking conditions, variety of device form factors etc.
• Is familiar with Mobile Application types (mWeb, native & Hybrid) and is aware of the test approach uniqueness in each of them
• Understands Mobile native languages (eg. iOS, Android), that can help in unit testing the applications
• Knows how to sign & package the mobile applications before submitting to App Store
• Understands challenges in Mobile Testing and knows better prioritizing the test conditions
• Is well aware of different testing types (emulators / simulators & real devices) and effectively plans the test coverage in each of them
• Understands better the Mobile Usability, Performance & Security requirements and is well equipped to validate them
• Understands and appreciates the uniqueness of mobile testing
• Understands that Mobile Test Strategizing is different from traditional testing, which includes specific tool selection, validating against diverse networking conditions, variety of device form factors etc.
• Is familiar with Mobile Application types (mWeb, native & Hybrid) and is aware of the test approach uniqueness in each of them
Desirable Skills:
• Knowledge on ALM, BPT, QTP Scripting, Popular Test Tools like Selenium, Appium etc.
• Experience in testing any Mobile Payments platform (NFC, QR code etc. based)
