 Job Description:
The Software Engineer should have strong .NET development skills working in a combined Linux/Unix and Windows Environment. They will also need to learn EMC Documentum's products, which are used as the backbone for the ENCORE Team suite of applications.

 

1. Development/Analysis
Design, code, debug, test, document and maintain moderately complex applications software.
Write unit test plans and perform test runs.
Research and resolve production problems.
May perform small to moderate degree of business analysis and/or technical analysis.
Perform system migrations.

 

2. Project/Release Activities
Participate in design sessions and assist with design for small to medium projects.
Attend project/release meetings to learn and understand process.
May lead small projects.

 

Mandatory Skills and Requirements:
Education: Bachelor's Degree -- Computer Science, Computer Technology or related area
Skilled in .NET Development
Understanding of Oracle/SQL Databases and the use of SQL.
Knowledge of Visual Studio for development
Knowledge of Windows Server/Windows OS
Strong problem solving and analytical ability.
Strong interpersonal communication skills.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Excellent teamwork skills.
Excellent customer service skills.
Ability to multi-task.
Willing to participate in a 24x7 on-call weekly rotation supporting ENCORE application

 

Desired / Supplementary Skills and Requirements:
Preferred knowledge of Linux/Unix Operating System
Preferred knowledge of Weblogic, JBOSS, Tomcat or other application servers.
Preferred knowledge of Java/Eclipse IDE development.
Experience Level (intermediate, senior, advanced):
Minimum 5 years experience working in related position
