This is our direct-client opening for a Sr. Web Applications Developer located in Maynard, MA. This is a 6+ month contract. Our client is only looking for candidates local to the area since a f2f interview will be required.
Key Skills: need good communication, strong .net, strong GUI, and portal development
The successful candidate will work collaboratively with an existing team of IT and Service professionals to implement and integrate new self-service solutions to our existing service portal.
Responsibilities:
Lead site redesign efforts to bring a contemporary, fresh design to an aging portal UI.
Integrate new knowledgebase solution, incorporating personalization and other user experience features.
Integrate knowledgebase features with our case management and alarm tools focused on delivering self-service capability to customers and partners.
Participate in the selection and integration process of a Community Forum application.
Qualifications:
Experience building customer self-service portals, including integration of some combination of: knowledge base tools, case management, community forums and documentation repository.
7-10+ years Microsoft ASP.NET and C# experience, with recent .Net 4.5.1 experience desired
Experience with ASP.NET MVC Framework version 4 or greater
Experience with UI design and technologies such as JavaScript, HTML5, jQuery
Experience with backend databases such as Oracle or SQL Server
Experience with Visual Studio 2012 or greater and SVN
Experience and/or credentials with UI/UX design principles
Ability to work collaboratively with a cross-functional team of developers, testers, business analysts and project management
