Technical Recruiters Backfill:Senior DB/ETL Developer(GA,12+Months)

Role: Senior DB/ETL Developer

Location: Atlanta, GA

Type: 12 months+

Rate: DOE

 

 

Responsibilities:

·         Follow Agile software development methodology to gather requirements, design, implement, and test changes to our databases and ETL processes supporting BI and data warehouses used by internal and external customers.

·         Responsible for design and implementation of database components, data set transformation and loading, report creation, application interfaces, and business applications.

·         Responsible for database programming development activities

·         Apply Master Data Management principles and Data Quality Services to ensure that data is of high quality and consistency

·         Assist with design of logical and physical database or review description of changes to database design to understand how changes to be made affect physical database (how data is stored in terms of physical characteristics such as location, amount of space, and access method).

·         Ensure that database and ETL development is error free, documented accurately and aligns to our data architecture

·         Lead the diagnosis of root cause of issues or failure

·         Drive timely execution of new software & system builds

·         Identify opportunities for improved processes and make recommendations

·         Participate in ITIL-based Change and Problem Management activities

·         Communicate status and/or concerns regarding technical and project tasks to stakeholders

Required:

·         Minimum 10 to 15 years of leadership in technology initiatives, ideally in a data intensive product or services oriented company.

·         Very strong communication skills are critical. The successful candidate must be capable of interacting with internal business customers and firm technology teams and outside providers and partners to identify technology opportunities

·         Experience in report generation using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) from both relational databases and OLAP cubes.

·         Strong experience developing, configuring and deploying complex, data driven SSIS packages running on SQL Server 2005 or higher in a data warehouse environment.

·         Strong SQL development experience with MS SQL Server databases – showing ability to write and execute complex SQL stored procedures in a data warehouse environment.

·         Hands on experience in developing Custom Reports and different types of distributed reports in multiple formats using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)

·         Understanding of Master Data Management principles, SQL Server Data Quality Services

·         Drive database change management process and well documented database code promotion process.

·         Experience in defining and documenting user and system requirements.

·         A good understanding of the IT development lifecycle, with full lifecycle experience, from design through to load test and operational maintenance.

·         Strong strategic ability on designing frameworks for data architecture with strong focus on quality, performance and security, then assuring compliance through review of designs and code.

·         Excellent organization, multitasking, and prioritization skills

·         Ability to build relationships and work well across functions

·         Ability to guide and lead technology teams and designers across multiple projects serving multiple & disparate client teams
