Job Title: Lead ETL Developer
The ETL Lead plays one of the most critical roles within our organization by developing custom integrations to external data sources and systems, which provides our
customers with data in a centralized store for complex segmentation and execution of marketing campaigns.
We are searching for talented and motivated individuals with demonstrated experience shipping data oriented solutions and a desire to build world-class systems to
do this. You will work directly with Solutions Architects and BI Developers and clients to integrate our systems directly with those of our partners and new customers.
Our ETL Leads may be based out of any Northeastern city in the U.S. and will spend 35% of the time working at client sites.
Job Responsibilities:
• Participates in requirement meetings with Business Analysts to understand data integration. Assist in documenting these requirements, resolving
ambiguities and conflicts, and ensuring requirements are complete.
• Develops detailed ETL specifications based on business requirements.
• Utilizes the ETL application and analyze data necessary to resolve issues uncovered and related to source data.
• Defines, develops, documents and maintains ETL mappings and scripts.
• Assists with the development of ETL test plans and tests the ETL code following ETL standards and architecture.
• Performs ETL tuning as well as SQL tuning.
• Provides input into standards and best practices for code development.
• Assists with and promotes continuous quality improvement throughout the lifecycle.
• Demonstrates success working in a team-based environment.
Requirements:
• At least 3-5 years' experience architecting, designing, developing, and testing ETL solutions
• Building data warehouses for analytical and BI solutions
• Working with Data warehousing and star schema data models.
• Experience dealing with large volumes of data.
• Experience using relational databases: MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server, etc.
• Experience using Integration Technologies: Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), Informatica or other leading ETL tools, MQ-Series
• Experience using Modeling / Reporting Tools : Embarcadero, Erwin, Metadata Tools, Business Objects
• Knowledge of SaaS web services integration a plus. SaaS integration experience, integrating different business systems (Cloud and On-Premise) using
integration tools like SnapLogic, Boomi, Pervasive.
• Ability to travel 35% of the time.
• Business adeptness in client facing situations; consulting, Big 5 and/or marketing experience is a definite plus.
