Orangeburg Project
The following network services are needed for the Highway Patrol Troop 7 Headquarters relocation project.
• Configure the existing Cisco 6513 core device at the host site (Blythewood) to accommodate the new Orangeburg site.
• Configure the new Cisco 2901 router, Cisco 3650 switch, and Cisco access point at the remote site (Orangeburg) for WAN, LAN, and VoIP connectivity. (SCDPS is responsible for physically installing the network devices in the racks and providing electrical power to the devices).
• Perform all necessary testing with AT&T in conjunction with turn up of the Metro Ethernet 10Mbps circuit. (SCDPS is responsible for provisioning the circuit).
• Coordinate with Spirit Communications to perform a network assessment to ensure the circuit is adequate for the VoIP.
• This project has a completion date of April 1, 2014.
Blythewood Project
The following network services are needed for the server, SAN, backup device replacement project at the Blythewood location.
• Install and configure a new 8-port (10Gb) module into a Cisco 6509 core switch.
• Integrate the 6509 core switch into DPS' network.
• Provide network administration assistance to the third-party vendor that will be installing and configuring the new server platform, SAN, and backup devices.
• This project has a completion date of May 1, 2014.
Duration
SCDPS is anticipating this engagement to last no more than forty (40) business days after project start date. However, please note that SCDPS reserves the right to end this engagement at any time.
SCDPS will assign staff to work with the contractor throughout the engagement
All of the information shared with the contractor is confidential. All of the work that the contractor performs during this engagement will become the property of SCDPS.
Given the sensitive nature of the data stored on agency resources, the contractor must have a recent criminal history report from SLED.
Contractor must provide a 30-day warranty on all work performed.
Candidate Qualifications
The successful candidate must have:
• Four (4) years of recent, applied experience installing, configuring, maintaining, troubleshooting, and monitoring Cisco network equipment (routers, switches, access points, etc.) or a combination of commensurate education and experience.
• Excellent written and verbal skills.
A Cisco Certified Network Associate certification is preferred
