.Net developer with sharepoint
Location- Gaithersburg, MD
Duration- 6 months
Job Summary:
The .NET Developer will develop, implement, and support enterprise level applications that are built using Microsoft .NET, SharePoint 2010 and SQL Server. The developer will be responsible for building scalable and high performance web based solutions. The developer will work with a team of requirements analysts, developers and testers to develop solutions in the areas of grants managements, and clinical research.
Job Responsibilities:
- Program ASP.NET web applications using C#, .NET Framework and with JavaScript Libraries like jQuery, Knockout, Dojo
- Develop SharePoint 2010 solutions using SharePoint Object Model, .Net, C#, Visual Studio, InfoPath forms services, Cascading Style Sheets/Branding, Master Pages, Page Layouts
- Create and configure SharePoint 2010 environment using out-of-the-box features not limited to Collaboration Portals, Service Applications, SharePoint Services, SharePoint Search, Team Sites, and Site Collection etc.
- Create and consume Web Services within SharePoint 2010 and ASP.NET applications using WCF and REST
- Perform development tasks on Documentum workflows
- Develop stored procedures, functions packages using T-SQL (SQL Server) and PL/SQL (Oracle)
- Collaborate with the project manager to identify future needs, develop strategy for overall scope, implementation of features for releases, implementation requirements, and system documentation
- Design application modules that produce the desired product. Ensure that the modules support the functionality described by requirements analysts.
- Provide technical expertise to identify, evaluate, and develop effective procedures and systems requirements that align with the business requirements
- Collaborate with security and operations during upgrades, installation, deployment, and verification of hardware and software on the development, test and production environments
- Remain current with emerging technologies and industry best practices
- Evaluate new technologies and software products to determine feasibility and desirability of incorporating their capabilities within the company's products
- Perform support development tasks on a daily basis at the same time as product development tasks

- Applied understanding of software development methodologies and concepts

- Minimum 5 years each required:
- Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 / 2010 / 2012
- SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
- T-SQL
- PL/SQL
- Microsoft SQL Server 2008
- C#
- ASP .NET 3.5/4.0
- LINQ
- Experience with Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007/2010/2013 in implementing out of the box features, integrating 3rd party tool and custom development
- Experience in Agile software development is desirable
- Experience with Object oriented concepts and Design patterns
- Experience with XML/XSLT
- Experience with JavaScript libraries (JQuery, KnockoutJS)
- Experience with development of workflows using Documentum and understanding of Documentum is desired
- Experience with Content Management systems like Percussion is desired
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, other related degree preferred, or equivalent work experience
