Sr. Digital Strategist

Position Description:
The Senior Digital Strategist develops an in-depth understanding of internal and external factors affecting the client’s business, marketing, and digital ecosystem. The Senior Strategist uses that understanding to guide the establishment of business goals and objectives, and the development of strategic plans and briefs. This highly collaborative role interfaces with internal team members as well as external stakeholders throughout the strategy research, development, and deployment phases. The intent of this position is to re-architect the existing Client portal and the subsequent 130 +/-sites under the portal. These sites are made up of Agencies and various Commission, Boards and Marketing sites. Client has been in existence as an enterprise portal for 12+ years using an enterprise Content Management System (CMS) to manage the content for client. Over the years the portal has gone through many cosmetic “Look & Feel” changes however the structure of how the content is architected and even the massive amounts of content has never been addressed.
Skills Required:
· Digital space marketing and/or management consulting
· Organizational design
· Process design and optimization
· Digital governance
· Excellent communication skills
Experience Required:
· 8+ years Internet, marketing and/or management consulting (consulting or client-side) experience, with at least 5 years focused exclusively on the digital space
· Proven experience leading strategy and digital roadmap projects in complex organizations
· Expert knowledge of online advertising, information architecture, content strategy, user research, data modeling, structural design principles, and online consumer behavior
· Demonstrated thought leadership on digital strategies (including ecommerce, Content, Social Media) in a variety of organizations
· Demonstrated success driving organizational change within client organizations
· Excellent communication skills and comfort level with speaking to C-level executives and technology specialists alike
Experience Preferred:
· Past experience in organizational design consulting, process design and optimization, digital governance, and team dynamics a strong plus.
Education Required:
Advanced degree in a field such as Library & Information Science, Industrial Design, Human-Computer Interaction, English, History, Anthropology, Economics
