Title: Data Integration Specialist(Must be a Green Card or Citizen)
Location: Itasca, IL
Duration: 6 Months
Description:
The Data Integration Specialist is part of an integral implementation team and provides the opportunity for personal and professional growth through collaboration and knowledge sharing with other team members, architects and product teams. The successful candidate must be technically proficient in all phases in the different data integration tools and process. The candidate needs to be knowledgeable about data integration architecture, audit balance and control restart ability and other aspects of data integration. The candidate must be hands on. A strength is the ability to work with business users, internal and external, to understand requirements . The candidate must be one that thrives in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
Responsibilities:
- Creates clear run documentation to support and transition new process to the Operation team
- Handle multiple integrations simultaneously
- Follow established company and department standards and best practices
- Stay abreast of industry trends and technologies
- Work independently and within the team structure
- Effectively communicate (verbal and written) with users, management and coworkers
- Reports on integration status to Project Manager
- Provide time and resource estimates for assigned tasks
- Other duties as defined by Management
Experience and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems or related field or equivalent
- Expertise in data extraction, transformation and loading (ETL) between similar and dissimilar systems using SSIS, DTS, Profiler and SQL Programming, capable of source transformation from/to flat files, XML and relational system structures.
- Expert level experience with object oriented software engineering in an enterprise environment using the MS Visual Studio suite of tools
- Proven analytical skills interpreting and implementing business and functional requirements
- Experience developing MS Windows/Web services
- Experience with Windows Powershell scripting
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills across all organizational levels required
- Experience troubleshooting enterprise-scale applications
- Demonstrated experience utilizing SDLC methodologies, including waterfall/agile
- Experience with MS Team Foundation Server a plus.
- Certification as a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) or Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) is a plus
