Position: IIS Engineer / Administrator (Windows Platform)
Location: Boston, MA
Duration: 6+ Months
Rate: $45/hr C2C BEST RATE
Candidates MUST be LOCAL or live in nearby areas – Client requires an IN-Person Interview!
The consultant shall assist and work closely with existing staff to produce a detailed migration plan for the test and production environments.
This shall result in a migration plan and build-out document specifying all steps and settings to configure a server for optimal performance. The successful candidate, with existing staff, will build-out web/application servers for all test environments and the production environment.
As a part of IIS performance tuning, the consultant shall monitor and gather performance statistics, which shall be analyzed resulting in a set of recommendations for the proper configuration.
Qualifications:
In-depth knowledge of IIS 6 and 7 architectures
In-depth experience installing and configuring IIS 7.5
Hands-on experience migrating from IIS6 to IIS7.5
Demonstrable migration/upgrade experience with a system of similar size and complexity
Strong experience with IIS performance tuning
IIS troubleshooting experience and best practices implementation
Experience supporting high availability enterprise level web applications running on IIS Servers
Excellent communication skills with ability to connect with business stake holders and technical staff
The ability to write clear and succinct documentation
Microsoft certification preferred
