Our Client is seeking a Sr Level Project Manager skilled in facilitating software implementation projects in both an Agile and Waterfall environment.
The selected hire will lead the planning of projects, and will coordinate interactions with the stakeholders, as well as keep the project team focused on meeting the project objectives.
This Role:
· Coaches the team to drive to a successful outcome of the project and the acceptance of the project deliverable by the customer.
· Is accountable with the project team for the outcome of the project & the acceptance of the deliverables by the customer.
· Is responsible for ensuring that project risks are identified, evaluated and controlled through appropriate mitigation efforts in conjunction with the other relevant project roles and project team members (e.g., solution architect, enterprise architect, deployment manager, etc.).
· Applies project management knowledge, skills, tools and techniques consistent with the client's methodology to a broad range of tasks in order to deliver the desired result for a particular project with appropriate consideration given to the triple constraints of scope, time and effort with a focus upon insuring the quality of the project deliverable.
Description/Responsibilities:
· Responsible for collaboratively working with Business Stakeholders, MIS Portfolio Managers, MIS Resource Managers, and pooled technical resources in the establishment of clear project goals, objectives, requirements, work plans, schedules and budgets.
· Will lead project teams and will be responsible for delivering projects on time, within scope and budget and with quality in accordance with the project charter's success criteria.
· Will follow the company's Solution Development Methodology that is a composite of Unified Process and Agile concepts and best practices.
· Must be experienced in requirements definition and management with use cases and user stories.
Experience Requirements:
· Min 5 – 7 years' experience in the project management of software implementations or technical projects of medium to large complexity using agile methodologies.
· Oracle database and/or Oracle implementation experience.
· In-depth knowledge of agile project management concepts, practices and techniques.
· Ability to apply effective agile project management Methodologies and control techniques to manage projects from conception to successful implementation.
· Expert in development and execution of project plans.
· Expert working with Use Cases.
· Skilled in agile project estimating and iteration planning techniques via use case points.
· Expert in managing project timelines using burn down charts.
· Expert in managing project budget.
· STRONG LEADERSHIP and proficient at managing in a matrix environment.
· Proven expertise in directing the efforts of a technical staff.
· Ability to multitask
· Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, facilitation, presentation and consensus building skills.
· Strong ability to promote and build a team environment.
· Ability to understand and effectively communicate business and technical objectives as they relate to project goals.
· Ability to negotiate with clients, staff & outside vendors
· Ability to manage multiple cross-functional teams simultaneously.
