Position: Sr SQL DBA
Location: Houston, TX

Salary: $90 - 110K/Per Annum
*** Need US Citizen's or GC only ***
Job Requirements:
Minimum 5 or more years of in-depth DBA experience.
Real-world experience with gigabyte-sized and higher database implementations.
Real-world experience with enterprise wide database implementations across various business departments.
It is essential for the candidates to fully understand and have extensive experience in the following areas:
Relational database methodology and logical database architecture.
Hardware considerations related to relational database implementations (requirements, specification, setup & configuration).
Windows 2008/2008R2 Server considerations related to relational databases (requirements, specification, setup & configuration).
Physical database architecture considerations.
Comprehensive backup & disaster recovery strategy.
Knowledge of effective Security practices.
Coding and scripting skills and experience
Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States.
Candidates must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Candidates must be a team player and deadline-driven.
Candidates must be willing to work on-call rotation which will include off-hours and weekends.
Preferred Skills:
T-SQL and database debugging using SQL Profiler.
Powershell.
Data Warehousing & OLAP services.
Performance Optimization skills of servers, databases and T-SQL queries.
It is important for the candidates to have basic understanding and some experience in the following areas:
Enterprise-wide Replication Implementation & Deployment including MS SQL Mirroring, MS SQL Always On and Oracle Warm Standby Database
XML, .NET and other Web technologies
Database Performance and Tuning
Monitoring & auditing techniques.
