Need Test Lead
Location:Albany, NY
Duration: 1+ Year Contract
Interview: phone the Skype
Responsibilities:
Lead a group of (5-6) testers to hit target dates
Can drive (work with) a team of testers
Coach and mentor (work beside) the testers to meet target dates
Monitor the performance of the current testers
Complete daily reports and distribute the same day
Work with PMO to accurately report metrics
Facilitate delivery of deliverables on time
Motivated individual, desire to learn and teach others
A self learner, learn quickly
Motivate team members
Positive and pleasant attitude
Dig in and make things happen
Required Skills
Seven years of intensive and progressive experience in a computer related field with four years within the last eight calendar years of intensive and progressive experience in performing software testing for complex to highly complex software hardware applications and/or systems. Experience leading a group of testers is required. A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in computer science, mathematics, or engineering or a mathematics-intensive or an applicable certificate of training from an accredited institution.
Thorough working experience in QA/Testing various QA/Testing methodologies, complete SDLC understanding
Detailed test management experience with building and maintaining test plans, test suites, test cases, defects, test scripts using RQM
Be detail oriented, have excellent writing and verbal communication and possess client facing skills, have vast knowledge of testing techniques to cover all possible corner cases for testing, verification and validation techniques
Have hands on experience in very complex and large web based applications (portal) testing built on Java, WebSphere (presentation layer, DB2 LUW (backend database) and middleware (web-services, API calls testing using SOAP UI)
Working knowledge of MS office (MS word and MS Excel)
Hands on working experience in writing SQL skills using joins for data validation from various data sources using DB2 LUW
Sound hands-on knowledge of healthcare insurance domain with testing EDI transactions
Preferred Skills
Extensive hands on functional knowledge of Rational Quality Manager for test management with collaboration with Rational Team Concert and Rational Requirement Composer
Must be a team player, quick responsive, contributor, coordinator, cooperative, understanding, polite, and adaptive
Should be ready to put extra efforts and help to other team members and also ready for late evening, weekend work to accomplish the given tasks for the NY-HX project
Prefer in-depth working experience of validation ADA 508 compliance
