Job Description
The Mobility User Experience team looking for a User Experience Designer to guide design and promote user advocacy working toward the creation of our next-gen tablet and mobile phone enterprise solutions. The position is fulltime in Santa Clara California and will require occasional travel and after hours calls.
Technical Responsibilities
• Lead the design and creation of applications for mobile devices
• Promote user advocacy during all part of program development, helping to set user design requirements, create system definition artifacts and refine the system throughout development.
• Work with multiple members of the development team: program managers, researchers, visual designers to perform design activities and get support
• Analyze customer research and competitor offerings to conceptualize and understand users
• Create system and application concepts by defining information architecture, user interface flow, wireframes mockups and other design guidelines.
• Communicate concepts through sketches, diagrams, and interactive prototypes and be able to adapt communication style to different audiences
• Work across mobile platforms including iOS, Android, Windows Phone, and Blackberry
• Review work of visual designers and software development team to implement the correct design
Relevant Years of Experience:
At least 5 years of hands on design experience (Mobile applications preferred)
Must Have Technical Qualifications
• Bachelors degree (masters preferred) in Human Computer Interaction, Human Factors, Information Design, or related field
• Solid understanding of data driven design activities, such as storyboarding and experience models, solid experience using these strategies to create high quality designs
• Ability to meet aggressive deadlines and set accurate expectations and estimates for work tasks
• Excellent organizational skills and demonstrated ability to work independently
• Passion for technology innovation and dedicated interest in keeping up with the latest mobile technology trends
• Proven ability to work closely with engineers and product managers throughout all stages of the product cycle.
• Experience using Adobe Creative Suite and fast wire framing tools, for creating design documents and prototypes
• Demonstrated examples of previous design work, such as Portfolio or experience presentation
