Technical Recruiters Need Sr. Java Dev. with Hadoop for PA ! Rate OPEN

Our client is currently seeking a Senior Server Side Java Hadoop Software Engineer for a 6+ months contract near Philadelphia PA.

Role: Senior Java/Hadoop Programmer

RESPONSIBILITIES

• A team player, able to produce well documented and maintainable code and provide leadership to team to deliver quality delivery to customer.
• Participate and contribute to formal Design and Code Reviews.
• Provide maintenance support for existing software releases to ensure prompt rectification of problems.
• Setup Test Environment and assist release team in deployment of code to production systems.

REQUIRED SKILLS

• Strong Core Java coding and designing skills.
• Excellent working knowledge of HDFS /Map Reduce (and related Hadoop ecosystem) for large scale data processing. Must have worked on the architecture, design and development of Map-Reduce directly.
• Unix environment experience, preferably Linux.
• Good understanding data storage and retrieval concepts (Relational/Non-Relational).
• Good knowledge of distributed systems, and building reliable and fault tolerant software.
• Excellent debugging and performance tuning skills.

OTHER DESIRED SKILLS

• Strong Communication skills : written and verbal (English)
• Ability to prioritize tasks and elicit business requirements.

EDUCATION

• B.S./M.S. Computer Science, Electronics, Mathematics, or other technical discipline
• B.Tech/M.Tech Computer Science or Electronics and communication
• B.E/ B. Tech is desired

EXPERIENCE

• 8-12 years of experience
• Big Data /Hadoop experience
