Must-haves
5 -7 years of Informatica Development experience (at least version 9.0)
experience with ETL tools to support Informatica
experience implementing CRM system using Informatica
end to end implementation of Informatica in a production environment
Develop, test, implement and document Informatica data mappings
develop Informatica implementation plan for subject areas

 

Plusses
excellent communication as a liaison to implement best practices
strong documentation experience and ability to interpret business requirements
Review EA ETL requirements and ensure all related documentation is in place and approved
Liaise with internal staff for Informatica strategy and implementation
Develop UCSD Informatica implementation plan for EA subject areas
Engage external customers in defining and remediating outstanding data management gap analysis

 

Day-to-Day
The Senior Informatica Developer will provide a full spectrum of support services from strategy development to hands-on mapping development. This candidate's role will be supporting the implementation of a new CRM system. As part of the new CRM rollout, a related Business Intelligence capability will be developed including an Operational Data Store and Data Warehouse. The primary objectives are to successfully implement data management requirements, Informatica based ETL capabilities and to enable the division to identify and execute Informatica best practices within the overall UCSD rollout guidelines. These guidelines include best practices data management strategy, self-service BI model, data governance, appropriate utilization of ETL tools, support for an Informatica community of practice and optimized data integration processes.
