Websphere MQ & MB Designer

Location: 1 Holland and 3 in Milwaukee.
Duration: 1 yr and more

Relevant Experience (Yrs)     :    5+ year
Technical/Functional Skills     :    MQ & MB designer
Experience Required        4+ WMQ and WMB designer(Websphere)
2+ WMQ and WMB developer and supporting (Websphere)
2+ Unix and Linux administration

Roles & Responsibilities    :    
This position is responsible for designing and developing Interfaces for the Enterprise Integration Global Platform. The primary technologies involved include
•    WebSphere Business Integration Message Broker
•    WebSphere MQ Series
•    WebSphere Adapters
•    MFT    
•    MIM
Responsibilities include creating detailed technical design documents, working with business analysts to understand requirement details, implementing detailed designs, creating and executing unit and integration test plans.  This person will also be responsible to create promotion documentation.  This person will be working with other teams as well as EI customers so good communication skills and a passion for customer satisfaction are a priority.

Primary Responsibilities:
•    Creating detailed technical design artifacts
•    Working with business analysts to understand requirement details
•    Implementing detailed designs according to JCI standards
•    Creating and executing unit, Integration, and system  test plans
•    Participate in reviews and process audits to ensure that the correct processes are being followed rigorously.
•    Work with other teams, both internal and external to ensure consistency of process and best practices across IT and to build valuable cross team relationships
•    Escalate issues where appropriate
•    Stay current with industry standards and technology skill sets and direction
•    Achieve and maintain good working knowledge of JCI Enterprise systems
•    Regularly report informative status of individual activities

Generic Managerial Skills    :    
•    Good knowledge of Web services (e.g., SOAP, UDDI, WSDL, etc.).
•    Knowledge of WBI and/or JCA Adapters (JDBC, SAP, PeopleSoft, JText, Email etc)
•    Good understanding of integration concepts
•    Good technical aptitude and critical thinking ability
•    Competent written and verbal communication / presentation skills
•    Familiar with standard design artifacts
•    Able to communicate effectively to both technical and nontechnical audiences
•    Solid understanding of development and support processes and their respective deliverables
•    Familiar with common EI design patterns
Able to work under pressure in a fast paced development and testing environment

Nice to Have:

•    BMC Remedy
•    SUSE Linux skills
•    Knowledge of Enterprise systems like SAP, PeopleSoft and Mfg/Pro
•    IBM Certification in WMQ, WMB
