Contract Position: IT Business Consultant

Location:  Tallahassee, FL

Duration: July 1, 2013 to June 30, 2014; extendible to June 30, 2017

 

 

IT Business Consultant

DUTIES

• Provide expert guidance and support of the Software Build Environment, specifying, assisting in the installation/configuration, and usage of all relevant tools and products.

• Provide expert guidance for the Middle Tier in selection, configuration, and management of the Oracle Fusion Middleware product suite

• Provide training on new Java features and new frameworks for program development resources.

• Provide expert guidance to Project Managers, Directors, and others for direction, time-estimation, and resource requirements for application development.

• Provide expert mentoring of all contracted resources in the processes and tools for Software Development.

• Perform Rapid Prototyping for new concepts, systems, or tools for development

• Perform Research and Development of new technologies, tools, and methodologies to enhance the software development process

• Provide technical and business leadership to the e-permitting team for enhancements to all applications in the suite of products

 

SKILLS REQUIRED

• 10+ years in IT

·   10+ years development

• 10+ years Business Analysis

• 10+ years experience in mentoring IT resources at all levels.

• Experience in RUP, UML, Agile and other Software development lifecycles and methodologies

 

Preferred

• Knowledge and understanding of govt. IT software development processes.
