Position: DBA
Location: Bentonville, Arkansas
Duration: 8 months
Duties will include:
•Support multiple Oracle databases and ensure their performance, availability, and security
•Responsibilities include setup, implementation, and maintenance of relational database management systems and associated applications that support mission-critical resources for day-to-day operations
•Backup all databases and critical software homes on regular basis
•Monitoring and tuning databases to ensure optimal performance as well as ensuring the security, integrity, and recovery of data
•Initial installation, upgrades, and patches to the test and production Banner ERP eco-systems and other applications, to include Oracle-based technologies, such as database and application servers, as well as other business, reporting, and learning applications
•Installing, configuring, upgrading, optimizing, and maintaining Oracle-based technologies, including, but not limited to Oracle Databases, Oracle Grid, Forms and Reports, and Oracle Application Servers
•Coordinating all ERP and related system management in cooperation with Programmers, Banner Support Specialists, Network Team, and Banner Techs.
•Providing leadership and project management for all Banner and Oracle upgrades, including all 3rd party systems that integrate with Banner
•Provide and maintain Banner test environments including clones as needed
•Maintain documentation for all installations and upgrades including all steps taken and issues resolved
•Maintain documentation for Banner user processes such as Password resets and changes, Job Submission, Banner Extracts, and any other processes that require DBA intervention
Required skills
· 5 years experience Clone and maintain test database(s)
· 5 years experience Create and maintain detailed documentation
· 5 years experience Customer service oriented; Diplomatic and tactful
· 5 years experience Disaster Recovery/Business Continuity
· 2 years experience Ellucian Banner – all Modules; DegreeWorks, eLearning, FGAC, Workflow
· 2 years experience Evisions – Intellechek, Argos, FormFusion
· 5 years experience Oracle Enterprise Database; Forms, Reports and Discoverer; Grid Control; RMAN; Web Tier; WebLogic
· 5 years experience PL/SQL
· 5 years experience Redhat Enterprise Linux; Windows Server
Highly Desired Skills
· Code promotion from test to production
· EMC Document Imaging System
· Familiarity with Cobol, C, PERL, and Java; Linux CUPS Printing; Linux Shell Scripting
