Senior Enterprise Architect
A solution architect would have overall responsibility for the architecture and design of highly integrated application for the our customers. The person would typically work with internal business units of our customers to develop systems to required business specifications. This person would need to have a wide range of technical knowledge, rather than focusing their skills in a specific area of information technology.
Advanced knowledge of programming languages and tools (e.g. .NET, Java, PHP, Perl, SQL, Flash, XML, VB, Silverlight, Business Rules Engines, Adobe LiveCycle, Filenet, etc.) and the ability to propose alternative solutions and cost-benefit analysis based on these technologies.
Ability to master a variety of hardware platforms and software environments including mainframes, distributed platforms, desktops, and mobile devices. Experience with Windows & Unix platforms a must.
Experience with enterprise integration techniques and SOA & BPM based architectures
Experience in building/implementing highly scalable, mission-critical transactional systems
Posses a broad and deep understanding of databases such as knowledge of Relational Databases; Oracle, SQL, DB2 and/ exposure to ISAM or VSAM.
Experience working with business rules engines, enterprise level Content Management systems, workflow/process orchestration platforms, and eCommerce platforms
Knowledgeable in the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC); as well as be familiar with each of the various UML forms and have expertise in the development of use cases, class diagrams, and occasionally state diagrams as well.
· 20 or more years IT experience
· 15 or more years of full systems development lifecycle experience
· 8 or more years in an Application Architecture role
· 2 or more years of hands-on experience with Enterprise Architecture and / or Framework development
Ability to share and communicate ideas, both verbally and in writing, to senior management, business and technical resources in clear concise language.
Strong leadership skills, ability to influence various stakeholders.
Ability to understand complex technology concepts and to plan, prioritize and seamlessly integrate multiple moving parts in order to deploy successful solutions.
Be involved with a project at the time of inception and participate in the functional analysis of developing the initial requirements.
Rapidly evolve solutions from abstract inputs, taking in domain and technical inputs from the team and evolving a high level solution.
Lead development of formalized solutions – to match business needs.
Interface and coordinate tasks with internal and external technical resources. Collaborates with Project Managers and technical directors to provision estimates, develop overall implementation solution plan, and serve lead as required, to implement installation, customization, and integration efforts
Oversee aspects of project life cycle, from initial kickoff through requirements analysis, design and implementation phases for projects within solution area
Actively participate in requirements formalization and functional specification development, providing business architecture and technical architecture deliverables as required
Provide quality assurance for services within solution area
Build and maintain repository for deliverables, methodologies, and business development documents
Responsible for transforming the business/functional requirements into architecture and design documents that can be used by the development team to actually create the solution.
Responsible for articulating technology trade-offs and proposing solution approaches forward with various technology and business stakeholders
